San Carlo Acutis

Pray for us

Carlo Acutis (1991–2006) was a young Italian who, despite leading a normal life as a student and friend to his peers, distinguished himself by a deep friendship with Jesus. Among his daily activities, he found time to help those in need, teach catechism, volunteer, and share his faith online, all while enjoying sports, music, and video games.

From a young age, he showed a great love for the Eucharist, which he called his “highway to Heaven.” He received his First Communion at the age of seven and never stopped participating daily in Mass, Eucharistic adoration, and the Rosary. His simple yet radical spirituality is summed up in phrases like: “All are born original, but many die as photocopies.”

Carlo knew how to live the extraordinary in the ordinary, making every moment of his life an encounter with God, whether at school, with friends, or in front of the computer. He died at the age of 15 from leukemia, leaving behind a shining testimony of faith that continues to inspire thousands of young people around the world.
